Meet the Photographer

Welcome!

My photography journey began in 2015 at Banstead Woods parkrun. With a lot of encouragement from good friends Don Esslemont and Chris Phelan, I took some photos of the 5k run.

I really enjoyed the morning and I was hooked! My enthusiasm to become a better photographer saw me get some experience at local athletics meetings, however, I had lofty ambitions on reaching the Football Premier League.

My research very quickly made me realise it wasn't a very simple, or short, step. I set about finding a non-league football team that I could gain experience at and so it came to pass that on 16 September 2016, I made my debut as a football photographer.

The rest, as they say, is history.

After holding 2 previous events we were desperate to try and capture the day in more detail. We previously relied on mobile phone pictures from runners and spectators but sadly they just don't do the same job.

After seeing Steve's work we were desperate to get him there for the day. Being the professional he is we met a few weeks before the event on site so Steve was able to find the best shots possible before the big day.

On the day you would have never know he was there but was at every important moment and that is the beauty of a fantastic photographer. He captured the day perfectly and the pictures are absolutely perfect.

We have already booked Steve in for our event next year and we would now never plan an event without his presence.
